Wednesday 3rd March 2010 - Day 2

You feel so much better in the mornings when you have not been drinking alcohol! I don't mean I woke each day with a hangover, but when you do drink each night you tend to be really sluggish in the morning and find it hard to get on with things.
Got straight up this morning, showered and started the day with a smile.

Breakfast was bacon and 2 poached eggs.

Tomorrow I need to be well organised as I will be sitting up at the hospital for hours as Amy is going in to her have her tonsils out, so I will make sure I take my protein snacks and my lunch in a little esky otherwise it will be too tempting to go to the cafe and eat something bad!

Mid morning I had a protein cheesecake and a cup of tea. The secret of this diet (well not so secret) is to train your body in to knowing it is not in a famine and you eat regularly. This way your body will burn fat and not store it as it has been. You should never go 3 hrs without food and you should have 6 small meals a day, comprising of
  • Breakfast
  • Protein snack
  • Lunch
  • Protein snack
  • Dinner
  • Protein snack
The good thing is if you are hungry you can have a protein snack every hour if required!

Well lunch time has rolled around, I had 3 chev up sausages, they are quite small and may have been a little over my 100g limit, but I am not going to let the small things get me down.
I am still on track and drinking lots of water.

Afternoon protein snack was 2 meatballs on the rush as I was heading out to do some shopping and remembered that I would break the 3hr rule if I didn't eat something before I go.

For dinner I had 3 chicken kebabs in honey and soy, probably was not a good idea with the honey and soy but the small stuff doesn't matter, the fact is I have stuck to everything pretty well so I am pretty pleased with myself.

In the evening I had a cup of tea and a protein cheesecake, goes down a treat!

One more day of  protein only!  So looking forward to Friday where I can start adding vegetables and the odd piece of bread in to my diet again!
